Elizabeth Lyon: You Know Something

by John Lacey on May 5, 2009

From the introduction of Elizabeth Lyon’s A Writer’s Guide to Non-Fiction:

Have you ever asked yourself why someone would want to read what you write? The answer: because you know something others don’t know and need. You may not have thought about it before, but every person knows something, be it ever so small, that other people don’t know. So far, each one of us is an original and that means no one else has had our exact experiences, not even our twin. At the very least, we each have a life story to share.

Will you be sharing your life story?
